No visit is ever complete without a trip to Buckingham Palace. The outing started out normal enough with a walk down the mall and we looked at the statues around the palace.
Then we decided to go inside and have a tour of whatever you can see. It was on a whim and we are so glad we went inside. The tour was what you would expect but then the most unexpected thing of all happened. Our group, there were about 20 of us, were taken aside into a secluded room and were told to wait a few minutes. After about 10 minutes the Queen herself walked in! Apparently, once a year they take one tour group and let them take pictures with the Queen and the Duke and you can briefly speak with them. Adeline finally got to meet the Queen!
Here is our picture with them, if only I knew we could have dressed a little better!
Adeline also loves the guards so we took her picture with one of them, he was at attention guarding so couldn't look at the camera.
Then the strangest thing of all happened. Justin Timberlake walked in. So weird that JT and the Queen are friends.
It was turning into a star studded event. Adeline got to meet Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana!
Aidan was thrilled to meet Steven Spielberg, he loves Jurrasic Park.
Michael talked with Steven Hawking. Is Michael's manhood...oh nevermind, it's just wrong!

OK, so we didn't meet the Queen but we had fun at the wax museum. The last room in the museum was the Horror room. I had Michael check it out first to see if it was too scary for the kids. You be the judge.
Now, I guess, if we do actually ever meet the Queen it will be a little like the Little Boy who Cried Wolf. It's a chance I'm willing to take.
